Compare and contrast of football and rugby.

In this world there are various kinds of sports. There are a contact sport and a non-contact sport. Every sport have their own event such as Olympics, world cup, Commonwealth, etc. I am going to write about the similarities and differences between football and rugby.


Football and rugby have many similarities and differences. The similarities are they both play with a team that against other team. They also have their substitutes to subs the player that is injured or tired. Both rugby and football plays with a ball. They also have the same number of referee which is 3 people. But the differences are rugby play with a number of 15 person whereas football play with a number of 11 person in a team. In rugby, the ball is oval but football the ball is sphere. Rugby is a contact sport which you must be very fit whereas football is a non-contact sport. Rugby have many rules than football.

Rugby is a very extreme sports therefore you who play rugby have to consider the effect and danger of the sport. You must always think about your health and safety therefore you must built-up your body part. That also goes to football which sometimes it could be dangerous.
